Package: ndiswrapper
Version: 1.54-2
Severity: normal

I have a Realtek rtl8192e in my Toshiba Satellite L555D. I downloaded
the WinXP driver from www.wireless-driver.com and installed it with
ndiswrapper -i. I compiled ndiswrapper-source using module-assistant,
installed the resulting package, and ran modprobe ndiswrapper.

mrvn@cleo:~$ ndiswrapper -l
net819xp : driver installed
        device (10EC:8192) present
mrvn@cleo:~$ ip addr show wlan0

Capabilities: [160] Device Serial Number xx-xx-xx-xx-xx-xx-xx-xx
        Kernel driver in use: ndiswrapper

Invoking «iwlist wlan0 scan» causes a general protection fault. I am
enclosing the relevant lines from syslog as a text file. If I can
provide any other info, let me know.
