Package: nvidia-cuda-toolkit
Hi,
thank you for maintaining the cuda packages!
We used to have /usr/lib/cuda/version.txt, but recently it was removed.
Would it be possible to bring it back?
The background is that some software likes to detect the version by
referencing the file (in my case Apache TVM).
Thank you for your consideration.
Best regards
Thomas

The "CUDA Toolkit Major Components" chapter is no longer part of the
release notes shipped with the toolkit (it starts with "CUDA 11.1
Release Notes"), so there is no longer any reference to version.txt.
(Also the information about shipped pdf and html documentation in the
online document is no longer valid).
You could ask in the nvidia support forum about this change ...
So I chatted up people and indeed, the "single version fiction" is gone.
I'm closing this.
Thank you!
Best regards
