Package: kxmleditor
Version: 1.1.4-2.1
Severity: important
Hello,
The current version of kxmleditor fails to build on
GNU/kFreeBSD, because of outdated libtool.
The version of libtool in kxmleditor is too old to correctly
support Debian GNU/k*BSD.
Here is how to update the libtool in your package:
cp -f /usr/share/libtool/libtool.m4 admin/libtool.m4.in
cp -f /usr/share/libtool/ltmain.sh admin/ltmain.sh
cp -f /usr/share/misc/config.guess admin/config.guess
cp -f /usr/share/misc/config.sub admin/config.sub
(alternatively you can update the admin/ directory from the latest
KDE SVN [1] instead).
make -f admin/Makefile.common
Note that using libtool.m4 from the Debian package is prefered, because
it prunes the package dependencies, as explain by Steve Langasek [2].
Thanks for your cooperation.

kxmleditor - XML Editor for KDE
Closes: 330175 334997 343953
Changes:
kxmleditor (1.1.4-3) unstable; urgency=low
.
* Acknowledge NMU (Closes: #334997), but revert it's changes, because the
toolchain is fixed, and g++-3.4 is no longer needed to compile on arm,
hppa and m68k.
* Fix the installation directory of the user documentation: force it to be
${datadir}/doc/kde/HTML by exporting kde_htmldir with that value assigned
(Closes: #330175).
* Update libtool and other build system files. (Closes: #343953).
- Add new patch: 01_admin_update.diff. Updates the admin/ directory to the
one in branches/KDE/3.5 of the KDE SVN repository (revision 490256).
- Build-Depend on autotools-dev and libtool, and copy config.guess,
config.sub, libtool.m4, and ltmain.sh to the source in the clean target
of debian/rules.
* Small changes in debian/rules:
- Use config.status as dependency of the "build" target, and remove the
"configure" one.
- Force C collation on sort invocations in debian/rules.
* Update automake build-dependency to automake1.9.
* Raise debhelper compatibility level to 5 (no changes required).
* Update debian/watch to version 3.
* Use lowercase in the manpage for the name of the program.
* Raised Standards-Version to 3.7.2.0 (no changes required).
