Dear Maintainer,

Kicad in Debian is not fully translated, because the path for kicad.mo is not
correct. For example for German, when I create
/usr/share/kicad/internat/de/kicad.mo instead of
/usr/share/locale/de/LC_MESSAGES/kicad.mo, as it comes with the package, the
translations are as expected.

Regards
Thomas

Hello Thomas,

that's sounds interesting, as the official version in Ubuntu is the same
as in Debian. ;)

You for sure did taken the .mo file from one of the PPAs from
Jean-Samuel Reynard who is building kicad related packages on a daily base.

The German translation in KiCad isn't fully correct for the 5.1.8
release, that's correct. It's a bit difficult to follow the correct
various upstream resources as the move over from Launchpad with the
stopovers on GitHub isn't always easy. So did chose the wrong base for
the l10n translation for 5.1.8. But on top of that the German
translation was not complete even if I would have used the correct git
tree. This is fixed in the between time and for the upcoming version 5.1.9.

As every thing is working correctly, besides the not fully German
translation, I'll close this report now.
