I specify that in my system I installed:
1) the vanilla version of Texlive 2019
(and not the "debianozed" version;
2) a "fake" package created with equivs for managing some dependencies,
that makes, fon example, TexStudio perfectly working.
At present, I'm using Cinnamon.
I still have the doubt that this is actually a bug. But if the problem
depends on equivs, I stress that it had not appeared in a Testing
installation with KDE as WM.

regarding LilyPond TeX font installation, but is no longer relevant
for LilyPond 2.x, and created an unnecessary dependency on tetex-bin
or texlive-binaries due to its use of kpsewhich...
