contains 4 embedded PDFs.  evince neither displays them nor gives
any indication that they are there.

pdftk is able to unpack them.

That link no longer resolves, but according to
https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/evince/-/issues/51 the requested feature
was implemented in GNOME 3.30.
