Package: davfs2
Version: 0.2.7-1
Severity: wishlist

Hello Luciano,

we have got a feature request from Hubert on our davs2-help-forum (http://sourceforge.net/forum/forum.php?thread_id=1436976&forum_id=82589) concerning the Debian package:

"When being installed, the package should ask wether to set the two files "setuid" or not, accompanied by the appropriate warnings. Other packages do so too."

Although this refers to davfs2 0.2.8-1sarge1, I think it applies to all davfs2 Debian packages.

I think this a good idea, too. The default may still be not to set uid, but with a suggestion to use davfs2 only as ordinary user, and a hint to the man page and the README file, and how to run dpkg-reconfigure later.

What do you think about?

Greetings
Werner
