Dear listmasters,
Please consider creating a new list for the packaging of the Bazel build
system in Debian. This project has attracted recent attention due to the
Bazel dependency for tensorflow and tensorflow's extensive use in the
scientific and medical communities. Debian's continued inability to package
tensorflow was a high-priority issue during the recent biohackathon where
we identified impediments to effective COVID-19 research.
We currently have a half-dozen people interested in working on the build
system and, once it becomes available, people wanting to build tensorflow
and other packages that build with Bazel will need an easy way to contact
the maintainers. The maintainers will also need a convenient way to
coordinate with each other.
Please let me know if you have any questions about my request, I'll be happy
to discuss further!
