Dear Maintainer,

*** Reporter, please consider answering these questions, where appropriate ***

   * Upgraded to debian stretch using dist-upgrade lead to one partition did
not mount due to multiple labels
I use to have a ZFS partition on this partition but reverted back to ext4.
I must have failed to clean it completely.
Mount in jessie using UUID work fine but fails in stretch (but that's
another problem).

   * Attempting to fix the problem by deleting the ZFS I used the wipefs to
list the label and use it to delete it
     ineffective)?
   * wipefs writes that it deletes it, but does not seem to do anything. The
extra signature is still there
and mount using UUID still fails.
   * wipefs would delete the ZFS signature and mount using UUID would work.

Did the following:

# wipefs /dev/sda4
offset type
----------------------------------------------------------------
0xe392bbb000 zfs_member [filesystem]
                     LABEL: tank
                                          UUID: 6384895573301081576

0x438 ext4 [filesystem]
                     UUID: 8bd4a82d-3d36-45c6-8d51-fa4b68d65051

# wipefs /dev/sda4 -o 0xe392bbb000 -f
/dev/sda4: 8 bytes were erased at offset 0xe392bbb000 (zfs_member): 0c b1 ba 00
00 00 00 0

However it is still listed. But second:

# wipefs /dev/sda4 -o 0xe392bbb000 -f
wipefs: /dev/sda4: offset 0xe392bbb000 not found

Tried rebooting but did not change anything

cheers,
:-Dennis Schafroth
