newt was one of the early adopters of build profiles. As such it used
the "stage1" profile. We've now deprecated that profile name, because it
does not convey meaning. You can only understand what stage1 means for
newt if you look at many other packages. For that reason, we've
deprecated stage1. Please use "nopython" instead. I guess you'll
immediately see what "nopython" means. That's the way it is supposed to
work now. Please consider applying the attached patch.
