Package: jetty9
Version: 9.2.21-1
Severity: important
Hi maintainers,
On stable distribution the installation of jetty9 fails in a very
similar manner as reported in #884771 although this is a previous
version, so not sure it's caused by the same problem. FWIW the apt-get
and 'journalctl -xe' relevant pieces of output follow:
Configurando jetty9 (9.2.21-1) ...
Job for jetty9.service failed because the control process exited with error
code.
See "systemctl status jetty9.service" and "journalctl -xe" for details.
invoke-rc.d: initscript jetty9, action "start" failed.

I'm just doing some housekeeping and I have tried to reproduce your jetty9
problem in Stretch. This is most likely no longer relevant for you, sorry for
not getting back to you sooner.
With a fresh installation of jetty9 I don't see any error messages. If Jetty
does not start this could also be caused by another web server like Tomcat
which listens on the same port. Otherwise we need the output in
/var/log/jetty9/*.stderrout.log to debug the problem. Since nobody else has
reported a broken Jetty9 package I believe this may have been a temporary issue
hence I am going to close this bug report now. Please feel free to reopen if
this is still reproducible for you.
Regards,
Markus
