Hi,

I gave iwd (0.10-1 from Debian) a try on my notebook - It does not connect to
the wireless network in my hackerspace:

-----------------------------------------------
$ iwctl
[iwd]# station wlp3s0 connect mainframe
Type the network passphrase for mainframe psk.
Passphrase: *********
Operation failed
-----------------------------------------------

-----------------------------------------------

The network is provided by multiple Juniper access points (wla522 & wla532)
controlled by WLC-V MSS 9.1.6.2. wpa_supplicant (Debian
2:2.7~git20181004+1dd66fc-1)
works as expected with the same network on the same machine:

-----------------------------------------------
$ wpa_cli -i wlp3s0 status
bssid=dc:38:e1:90:5b:c1
freq=5180
ssid=mainframe
id=18
mode=station
pairwise_cipher=CCMP
group_cipher=CCMP
key_mgmt=WPA2-PSK
wpa_state=COMPLETED
-----------------------------------------------

My understanding is, that WPA2-PSK with CCMP should be supported by iwd,
so I wonder what went wrong.

Hi,

FWIW this has been fixed in an iwd release in 2020 (I don't remember
which one exactly). Now I can no longer test this, since we switched
access points in my hackerspace.
