Dear Maintainer,

*** Reporter, please consider answering these questions, where
appropriate ***

   * What led up to the situation?
installing iwd and tried to remove wpasupplicant

   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
     ineffective)?
apt install iwd; apt purgen wpasupplicant

   * What was the outcome of this action?
it will remove networ-manager too

   * What outcome did you expect instead?
use network-manager as gui/interface for iwd (iwdctl), without having
     wpasupplicant installed!

Hi,

is it possible to downgrade wpasupplicant to recommends and add iwd as
recommends too? So that $user can choose which one to use, iwd or
wpasupplicant ,as long as there is no other gui for iwd in debian.
Maybe, well this is an additional wish on that way, you can pack iwgtk
(https://github.com/J-Lentz/iwgtk) too, it is in an early state but it
works.

Thank you for the great work you done and still doing

Hendrik Lehmbruch

There are enough use cases for network-manager not involving Wi-Fi which
