Package: kmess
Version: 1.4.3-1
Severity: minor

Running "update-desktop-database" when kmess is installed reads:

Invalid UTF-8] Could not parse file
'/usr/share/applications/kde/kmess.desktop': desktop entry contain line
'Comment[de]=MSN Messenger Clone f\xfcr KDE 3' which is not UTF-8
No directories in update-desktop-database search path could be processed
and updated.

It appears like the kmess.desktop is latin1 encoded while it's supposed
to be UTF-8.
