When installing libgrpc-dev I find that the package contains support to
configure gRPC in your build system with pkg-config (files under
/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/pkgconfig). However, the support to configure gRPC
using cmake is not present, i.e., one cannot use find_package(gRPC CONFIG
REQUIRED) to get the gRPC configuration in your project.
This actually prevents following the quickstart gRPC guide for C++
(https://grpc.io/docs/languages/cpp/quickstart/) unless one really installs
gRPC itself (which obviously will make the installation of the Debian package
useless).
From what I can see it seems that the cmake support files are installed if
gRPC itself is compiled with cmake (under $prefix/lib/cmake/grpc). But this is
not be the case when gRPC is compiled with make as seems to be the case in the
Debian package. It would be probably a good idea to move away from make anyway,
since it seems that the Makefile is considered deprecated.
