Package: dh-kpatches
Version: 0.7
Severity: normal

Hello,

recently I wondered why the apply scripts in kernel patch packages try to apply
the patch on a completely wrong kernel version. It seems to me that the version
checking is broken, and only the fact that the sripts make a dry-run is the
reason why nobody noticed this before. My log, using kernel-source-2.4.13:

| root@zombie:/usr/src/kernel-source-2.4.13> make-kpkg clean
makes its work
| root@zombie:/usr/src/kernel-source-2.4.13> cat foo
| PATCH_THE_KERNEL=YES make-kpkg configure
| root@zombie:/usr/src/kernel-source-2.4.13> sh foo
...some times later, starts patching:
| if [ -n "/usr/src/kernel-patches/all/" -a \
| -d /usr/src/kernel-patches/all//apply ]; then
\
|             run-parts --verbose /usr/src/kernel-patches/all//apply;
\
| else \
| true; \

Imaging something applies cleanly, but causes semantic errors?
