Package: schroot
Severity: important
Hello,
since Roger Leigh did the backport and is also in the Uploaders list,
I am filing the bug on the general BTS rather then contacting him
directly.
schroot 0.2.9-0bpo1 fails to build from source on all Backports.org
architectures (http://experimental.ftbfs.de/build.php?arch=&pkg=schroot)
------------
schroot (0.2.9-0bpo1) sarge-backports; urgency=low
* Backport for backports.org.
* debian/control: Adjust Build-Depends version requirements for
backported build dependencies.
------------
The reason is a too strict build dependency. Backports.org archives
are lower pinned than the official Sarge archives in the autobuilder
chroots. Because of this, liblockdev1 1.0.1-6 is to be installed
instead of 1.0.2-0bpo1.
Using a relation like ">=" instead of "=" should make the buildd
install the correct version of the package. It's basically the same
problem as handling Build-Depends: for uploads to experimental.
Regards,
René

The build dependencies are now fixed; the remaining problem of the
backports buildd not installing all of the build-deps is not something
schroot is responsible for, so I'm closing the bug.
Regards,
Roger
