Glad you could fix that with grub :)
FWWIW, I do not have a problem switching to a virtual termnial using the
keyboard shortcuts…
My setup is also dual monitor, with different resolutions… (previously I had
the same resolutions as you have reported…)
Let me close this bug then, as this seems only affect certain hardware and
setting grub gfx mode won't be a fix suitable for everyone.
