Dear Maintainer,
I filed this bug upstream, which turned out to have been fixed a long time ago.
Because the bug causes evolution to crash in a way that may or may not
successfully send an email, it is quite serious and should be patched on the
stable (jesse) distribution. There is also no reasonable workaround because the
version of evolution does not allow the deletion of no-longer-valid contact
lists.
