Dear Maintainer,

On startup no content is displayed, simply a white blank window. The
window doesn't accept any mouse input. Error message when launching from
the console:

** (surf:6798): WARNING **: 14:38:03.031: Could not open
/sys/class/dmi/id/chassis_type: Failed to open file
“/sys/class/dmi/id/chassis_type”: Permission denied

** (surf:6798): WARNING **: 14:38:03.031: Could not open
/sys/firmware/acpi/pm_profile: Failed to open file
“/sys/firmware/acpi/pm_profile”: Permission denied

I'm running it as the regular logged in user. Thanks for looking at
this.

These two messages are not really errors. It's just a warning that it
can't access some files due to AppArmor restrictions, but they are not
needed for operation.

Having a blank window when starting surf without any arguments is
normal behavior. Please have a look at the manpage [0] to read how
to use it. For example you can call it directly with a URL:
 $ surf debian.org
Or when it is already running, you can press CTRL+g to open a URL.

Kind regards,
  Reiner
