Hi,

Some key bindings like ALT-Left ALT-Right for switching from one window
to an other works only with konsole but not with other terminal
application like gnome-terminal or xterm.

Hi Jean-Michel,

As far as I see, gnome-terminal distinguishes between Left and Alt+Left.
What follows is a sample of me running cat, then pressing the Left arrow
key followed by Return, then Alt+Left. I've also pressed Shift+Left and
Ctrl+Left (since Alt for me is also Meta):

$ cat
^[[D <-- Left

^[[3D <-- Alt+Left

^[[2D <-- Shift+Left

^[[5D <-- Alt+Left

Similar output appears with the Right arrow key, which appears identical
to the above except with 'D' replaced by 'C'. Seeing as these keys seem
possible to bind in irssi (I don't really use it), and this is a very
old bug, I'm closing it as part of a continuing effort to triage and
cleanup gnome-terminal's buglist.

If you still see the problem, then could you please reopen and give me
step-by-step instructions for reproducing in irssi?

   Vince
