Package: incron
Version: 0.5.12-1+deb10u1
Severity: important
Dear Maintainer,
I have been using incron version 0.5.12-1+deb10u1 on Debian Buster and still
observe the issue in bug #930526. I also tried 0.5.12-2 and still see zombie
processes piling up. Moreover, I also occasionally get a SIGSEGV, although
— contrary to #973927 — I do not monitor IN_CREATE.
My current incrontab rule is:
/var/lib/foo/bar/ IN_CLOSE_WRITE,IN_MOVE,loopable=true,dotdirs=false
/bin/systemctl start myservice.service
My current workaround is to always exit with error as mentioned in bug #930526
(/bin/systemctl start myservice.service && exit 1) and to limit the number of
processes incron.service may start.
Best,
Maximilian
