Hi,

It would be nice if the debian-sys-maint password could be preseeded.
In case of automated installation with replication the maintenance
will fail on one of the nodes because of a password mismatch as
the password will be replicated aswell.

In case of no preseed the random password is just fine.

mysql-5.5 was last released with Debian 8 (jessie) in April 2015
and was removed from the Debian archive afterwards.
It has been superseded by mariadb (and mysql-8.0, but that does not get into a stable release).
See https://bugs.debian.org/811158 for details on the removal.
I'm closing the remaining bug reports now.
