Package: php5-common
Version: 5.6.30+dfsg-0+deb8u1
Severity: minor
Hello,
"lsof" is marked as a depends, I assume that it's related to its usage by the
"sessionclean" tool in the previous version(s) of the php5-common package(s)
(e.g. 5.4.45-0+deb7u11).
Though, the tool was modified and it seems that "lsof" is not used anymore.
Could you check this?
Thanks.
Alexandre

Version: 5.6.26+dfsg-1+rm
php5 was last released with Debian 8 (jessie) in April 2015
and was removed from the Debian archive afterwards.
It has been superseded by php7.0 and newer versions.
See https://bugs.debian.org/841781 for details on the removal.
Regular security support for jessie ended in June 2018 and LTS support
ended in June 2020.
I'm closing the remaining bug reports now.
Andreas
