It seems like the pygame community got split after an internal
controversy:

The question now is whether Debian to track the fork or the original or
both.
A quick look at this upstream projects suggests that pygame-ce (the
fork) seems to have run with the majority of the active contributors.
Either way, there is a newer version of pygame / pygame-ce, that I would
like to see in Debian. So please upgrade (either way). :)
