Vanilla 2.6.17 kernel with -mm1 patch was built by me with kernel-package
version 10.049 (make-kpkg --initrd kernel-image). While installing such 
kernel image i get following error messages:

Running depmod.
Finding valid ramdisk creators.
Using mkinitrd.yaird to build the ramdisk.
