Dear Maintainer,
Sqlite's lookaside allocator has been disabled in 2011 (closes: #615061), for
sqlite3 3.7.6.
Fast-forwarding 12 years later, I am facing a performance issue with some
program linked against the libsqlite3. When I rebuild libsqlite3.so from
src:sqlite3 (3.43.0), my issue goes away and I get a blazing 22x speed increase.
The original issue with the lookaside allocator are unclear, so it is difficult
to know for sure they are fixed. On the other hand, a lot of water passed under
the bridge.
Could you consider reactivating the allocator ?
