paraview offers a GMSH plugin, providing the capability to visualise
gmsh meshes. It's not built by default, can it be added to the debian
paraview package?
Actually there's two of them,

GmshIO is the newer one and should be preferred.
I'm not sure if it would be constructive to build both of them, though
