Dear Maintainer,
Your package build-depends on python3-sip, which belongs to the deprecated
sip4 source package.
The modern version of SIP is packaged as sip6, and PyQt5 and PyQt6 packages
in Debian are built with that modern version.
It looks like the sip import is used only in tools/test.py and there it is
used for sip.setapi(*, 2) calls. Such calls are not needed at all with PyQt5.
They were needed only with PyQt4 and Python 2. So it should be safe to remove
them.
