Package: gnome-control-center
Version: 1:3.4.2-2
Severity: important
Dear Maintainer,
After upgrading to Wheezy, the Canon MF4350d fails to print.
Jobs get stuck in the queue, the pause and stop buttons push down, come back
up, and activate, acting like they're working, but do nothing. When coming
back into the control panel applet for the printer, the previous state of
pause/stop is not reflected.
I then removed the printer, and attempted to re-add it, thinking the drivers
might need to be reapplied so that the printer could work. The printer was
correctly detected, and after about 15s to 1m (time to do this can vary
widely...attempted add of driver multiple times), a dialog flashed on the
screen for a fraction of a second (so fast I couldn't even so how big the
dialog was, much less what was on it). I am then returned to the gnome-
control-center printer applet, with no printers and no error dialog to state
why it couldn't add the printer.
Ideally, the printer should get added successfully, and the printer test page
should work. Secondary, when the printer add fails (if it fails), it should
put up a dialog stating specifically why it failed, so that the user can take
corrective action. If it was successful, the printer should show up in the
list of available printers.
Thank you.

I am closing these bugs because gnome-control-center has changed so
dramatically since the bugs were reported that the bugs are no longer
relevant.
Thank you,
