Package: transmission-daemon
Version: 2.94-2
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,

I have been using transmission-daemon for an extended time without any
problems. Today, shortly after adding a torrent file I get an error stating
permission denied to my downloads folder in my home directory. The consequence
is that the torrent files stop downloading. I have removed the torrent and
tried again and I have rebooted as well, still get the same error.

The transmission GUI version appears to be working ok.

I see there was a recent update to the transmission packages in my aptitude log
file, but I don't see anything in the change log that may be related to my
problem.

I see there was also a recent update the apparmor package, not sure if that may
be causing my problem?

Hi,

This is a unix permission issue, either change transmission-daemon to run as
user, or add a group write permissions to the download folder.

Thanks,

Alex
