Package: makedev
Version: 2.3.1-78
Severity: wishlist

 Hi,

zaptel package is creating his own devices using mknod at install time,
which is a bug following policy 10.6

we need to create the following devices (in /dev/zap/ dir)
 /dev/zap/ctl c 196 0
 /dev/zap/timer c 196 253
 /dev/zap/channel c 196 254
 /dev/zap/pseudo c 196 255
 /dev/zap/$N c 196 $N (N going from N=1 to N=249)

Those devices should be owned by root.dialout with 0660 permissions.

Please, we would appreciate if you could tell us if you consider
uploading a new makedev soon (with the intention of it to propagate to
testing), as we need to fix zaptel to allow a new version of the whole
VoIP suite to propagate to testing.

 Thanks
