Dear Maintainer,
While trying to package newer versions of pyfastx, we noticed
that upstream made use of the zran version shipped by indexed-
gzip. For the moment I'm considering vendoring zran.c, zran.h,
zran_file_util.c and zran_file_util.h in pyfastx build, but
building against a properly packaged library would be ideal.
I suspect exposing these components will involve introducing new
packages (libzran1, libzran-dev?), so a round trip through NEW,
hence the wishlist severity.

I eventually found out files located in python3-indexed-gzip,
and the production of a library out of them may not have
particularly made sense. I'm cancelling this issue for now as
the initial problem of embedding of the zran in pyfastx can be
resolved without intervention on indexed-gzip.
