Package: lintian-brush
Version: 0.147
Severity: wishlist
Almost all commit messages generated by lintian-brush contain a trailing
period. The only exception I have seen so far is the "Use wrap-and-sort
-at for debian control files". Please add a period to this message too,
for consistency.

I am invoking it directly as "lintian-brush --no-update-changelog", but
you are right, and this explain why I could not find the string anywhere
in the code base of lintian-brush and debmutilate, it is from a
different script, and I just thought it was from lintian-brush. Sorry
about the noise.
