Package: tremulous
Version: 1.1.0-2
Severity: important
Hi,
thanks for packageing tremulous, it's a great game.
I'm having problems, though. I'm using the free ATI radeon driver, which
provides hardware acceleration via xlibmesa-dri. This works in glxgears
as well as in SDL-based games like planetpenguin-racer.
tremulous, though, complains about a software renderer:
GL_RENDERER: Mesa GLX Indirect
and when I force using it, I get software rendering results.
I have no other libGL.so.1 file anywhere.
I noticed that while ldd $(which ppracer) lists libGl.so.1, ldd
/usr/lib/tremulous/tremulous only lists libSDL-1.2.so.0 and nothing
OpenGL related.
Greetings,
Joachim

Hi,
this bug is actually not tremulous' fault, but SDL, see:
#359328 xserver-xorg-video-i810/libgl1-mesa-dri: DRI doesn't work
For those who want to play anyway, use:
$ LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib/libGL.so.1 tremulous
until a fixed sdl lib is uploaded.
Greetings,
Joachim
