Some hosts I back up are behind IPv6 tunnels. I would like to tell
backuppc to use v4 instead, where possible. Right now I have to
tweak $sshCmd; it would be nice if backuppc introduced an option
that just let me say "prefer IPv4 over IPv6" or "use IPv4" (or
"IPv6") for this host, and let it do everything necessary (pass
-4/-6 to ssh, etc.)

Hi,

I was going through those very old bugs and decided to close them, as
BackupPC V4 has evolved a lot and a lot of those bugs seems to be
feature requests, unsure if the problems still exist or otherwise not
actionable.

Please feel free to reopen the bugs, if think that is sensible, or
maybe if it as feature request check directly with upstream.
