Package: mixer.app
Version: 1.4.0-3
Severity: wishlist

For 2.2 kernels, I use ALSA. For 2.3, because of a bug in later
ALSAs that support 2.3, I use OSS. This means for 2.3, sound doesn't load
automatically because it tries to load alsa. Thus, when I login to X (via
Login.app), then modprobe my OSS driver, I have to kill and restart
mixer.app to get it to function. The ability to killall -1 mixer.app to
have to restart and try /dev/mixer anew would be handy.
