Package: snort
Version: 2.0.1-3
Severity: wishlist

snort is generate a lot of lines in my logcheck files; it would be
nice if the package (I suppose snort-common?) could include files for
/etc/logcheck/ to weed this out. I don't know if there are any log
messages from snort that would be noteworthy from a security point of
view. (I mean the syslog messages, not the reports snort sends).

Or perhaps snort should direct more of its logs to special purpose
logs (daemon.log?) and less to syslog and auth.log, which logcheck
looks at.
