Package: gnome
Version: 1:3.38+3
Severity: important
X-Debbugs-Cc: [email protected]

This only began happenning with the latest updates for bullseye (I had a
version from a few weeks ago that worked fine, but updated the other day).

What happens is that if one suspends the computer then wake it back up the
computer comes back up (lights inside the computer box turn on, fans start up,
etc), but the graphics remains black. If I pull the cord on the back of the
monitor it then recognized it no longer is talking to a grahpics card, but if I
plug the cord back in it still remains just black.

The procedure I did was:
1) Boot up the computer
2) Login to a user
3) Suspend the machine.
4) After it fully suspends, I try to wake it back up.

Result: Black screen with no way to interact with the computer.

There have been many changes to Debian since this bug was originally
reported. If you are still experiencing this issue with Debian 12,
please report a new bug.

Debian 11 has reached regular End of Life. There is still LTS security
support for Debian 11, but this doesn't seem like the kind of issue
that would be fixed there.
