cron is still at Priority:important even though Lintian has long warned that
packages should migrate to systemd timers before the next Debian release.
I therefore propose downgrading cron to Priority:optional and updating the
override to match.
Exception: the Hurd port doesn't have systemd and still depends on traditional
cron jobs. cron should therefore remain at Priority:important, but on Hurd only.

I think something like this should be discussed on d-devel before being
brought here. I'm going to go ahead and close the bug because it seems
way premature for an override change.
Let me just note that what Lintian says is less important than your
message suggests. Lintian does not always succeed in capturing project
consensus. We have other mechanisms that matter more than an automated
checker.
