Package: util-linux
Version: 2.40.2-8
Severity: normal
Tags: patch upstream

Dear Maintainer,

The recent buildd result for util-linux on powerpc is showing 2 test failures:
- logger: errors
- logger: format

This is due to an incorrect format argument passed to strftime(). The
microsecond
portion of the timestamp is all-zeroes.

There exists an upstream patch[1] for this issue in 'master' branch, but it has
not been backported to 'stable/v2.40' from where this release is cut.
Manually cherry-picking this change fixed the issue for me locally.
