When the same function has two entries in the table of contents, that
function's documentation page may be generated with the table of
contents open to either of those two entries. (Probably based on
filesystem order, i.e. which entry gets processed first, but I don't
actually know that.)
For example, pandas DataFrame.to_* are listed in both reference/io.rst
and reference/frame.rst:
