Package: sbuild
Severity: wishlist

Hi,

as discussed on IRC I'd like to be able to get rid of .sbuildrc. This
means the following values need to be pushed to .builddrc (and passed
to sbuild via the command line):

$arch -> is already be set by buildd if an arch is mentioned anywhere
$mailto -> usually supplied by buildd
$mailfrom -> need to be added to command line and set by buildd
$maintainer_name -> can already be set by command line but not by buildd
$purge_build_directory -> default is sane, so no worries
$sbuild_mode -> should be statically set by buildd to "buildd"

%individual_stalled_pkg_timeout -> not in use usually, but should also
be able to be set by buildd, i.e. command line interface missing
(best via wanna-build, but that part would be for me)

So the both values we really need for now are mailfrom and
maintainer_name via .builddrc, and sbuild_mode statically.

Thanks,
Andi

Aurelien Jarmo pointed out on IRC that the current buildd infra
receives config options by puppet [1] as /etc/sbuild/sbuild.conf,
and they are happy with that as is.

Closing thus.

If new command line params would be useful for pybuildd, please
file a new bug.
