Hi.
Python 3.13's "revamped" REPL removed support for readline's vi editing
mode and thus also no longer respects settings in .inputrc. This is
supposed to be permanent, see:
https://github.com/python/cpython/issues/118840
At least they added the option to set PYTHON_BASIC_REPL, which also gets
us rid of the colors if anyone cares. Very important, and much
appreciated, though oddly enough it's nowhere documented, in Debian
anyway. Wish I would've known about it months ago. Please put it on the
man page that already has a section for environment variables.
