Package: amavisd-new
Version: 1:2.11.1-4
Severity: wishlist

Hi,

after Marc Martinec, the original author of amavisd-new all but disappeared
from the public a group of amavisd users discussed forking the project. They
got the blessing from the original author here

https://lists.amavis.org/pipermail/amavis-users/2018-October/005458.html

They have moved the upstream repository to gitlab
(https://gitlab.com/amavis/amavis) and have done a 2.12.0 and 2.12.1 release
which fixes a few bugs with 2.11 (notably an issue with outbound DKIM signing
and an issue with MySQL utf8mb4 coding).

It would be really great to have this in Bullseye.

I'm somewhat willing to help because $dayjob depends on amavisd-new on Debian
machines, but my happyness does not depend on co-maintaining yet another Debian
package.

Bernhard

Closing my own bug, since you have obviously switched to the new
upstream.
