Dear Maintainer,
When a matplotlib plot contains non-rectangular clipping paths, saving the
plot in SVG format produces nondeterministic output due to use of Python's
built-in 'id(...)' function as input[1] to the generation of id attributes for
the corresponding SVG elements.
I became aware of this problem during investigation of #1064858 and have
reported the issue upstream to matplotlib.
Regards,
James

The upload of matplotlib 3.10.1 to Debian unstable has resolved this
bug; thank you both, Nilesh for updating the package, and Alexandre
for uploading it.
