Hi, a colleague of mine submitted a patch upstream last year to fix
this regression. The patch is:

It appears to still not be patched in Trixie. Could you include this
in the patchset?
I would submit a MR/PR, but with this repository not being hosted on Salsa,
I wasn't sure how to go about doing that.
