Hi Rhonda,
since I know you are active in the Debian Games team and maintain
several packages there I assume you are fine to move netris there as
well. In any case I want to formally follow the Package Salvaging
procedure outlined in the Developers Reference. Your package meets
the criteria for this process, and I would love to assist in preserving
and maintaining it. As the Salvage process suggests, here is a list of
the criteria that apply, in my opinion:
- Bugs filed against the package do not have answers from the
maintainer.
- There are QA issues with the package.
Thanks to this invaluable Repology.org website,
I've located a fork used by ArchLinux and
will try to switch to it to fix the current bug
and audit the delta, which I expect to be conservative.
If that were not the case, I would extract patch
from this fork to fix the current codebase 0.52
This bug itself was found by querying the great UDD.
