Description of problem:

Deprecated text in the ps man page. Does not reflect change from bug #598089.

Execute the command: man ps
or goto:
http://manpages.debian.org/cgi-bin/man.cgi?query=ps&manpath=Debian+7.0+wheezy

The sixth paragraph in the NOTES section says:

"If the length of the username is greater than the length of the display
column, the numeric user ID is displayed instead."

According to bug #598089, this was changed from UID to truncated username.
https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=598089

Suggested Fix:

Change the text to:

"If the length of the username is greater than the length of the display
column, the username will be truncated. See the -o and -O formatting
options to customize length."
