Dear Maintainer,
on startup kdenlive asks for mlt-7 profile path. It gives
/usr/local/share/mlt-7 as default which is not existing on the system.
IMHO it should use /usr/share/mlt-7/profiles (from libmlt-data package) but
using this path does not work either. Kdenlive keeps asking for this path in an
endless loop until we close the window and the software exists.
Examplatory output when starting from terminal:
$ kdenlive

Hi Patrick!
Thanks for your reply!
If it works on a fresh trixie installation then it is caused by
something due my recent upgrade from stable to trixie or my recent
experiments with the (broken) KDE desktop (currently using Xfce).

I can not reproduce your bug, here it is working also with a fresh
install. Also your log already says, that it is using
/usr/share/mlt-7/ profiles
Here:
Yes, I tried different mlt paths. As you can see from the screenshot
kdenlive ignores the given mlt-path and endlessly asks for a path even
if the correct one is given.
I welcome suggestions to solve this for me but I think the issue is of
little relevance for the project.
I cant say what is the problem with your setup here, but you can try to
remove the config and cache folder of kdenlive. but maybe something with
your KDE setup is also broken
